Staying active isn’t only beneficial for your body, research shows that it improves the mental health as well. When you stay physically active, especially when you exercise, certain chemicals are produced in the brain which release stress and improve mood. But, you don't essentially have to be do extensive workout in order to boost your mental energy. It can also be achieved by engaging in basic physical exercises that you enjoy, such as running, swimming, planting, etc.

We often feel misplaced and depressed due to our stagnant, boring routine.
Setting small, achievable goals for yourself will provide you a sense of reason in life and put you in direction. Morning Routine Tips That Support Mental Well-Being
One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day!~Dalai Lama
One year ago I found myself feeling mentally and physically exhausted, IN spite of the fact that I wasn’t doing any additional work than usual. Unexpectedly, I was mostly free those days (the lockdown days, hence no university, no physical activity) however I was feeling that way. There were days when I felt so low that I didn’t have the energy to indeed do the essential everyday stuff. This weird shift in my energy incited me to discover reasons behind it, and to my surprise, the reason was something that I’d been ignoring from so long, My morning routine.
Because I didn’t have university then, my morning and night routine took 180°turn. I got to be a freaking night owl, daily used to sleep at dawn and wake up late in the morning. This messed up my morning routine and I finished up having extremely unproductive, unpleasant and stressful days. What did I do at that point? Obviously, I fixed my morning routine, And guess what? All efficiency, energy levels, happy mood, EVERYTHING WAS BACK!

The takeaway? Morning routine is so vital for your mental well-being. It sets the tone for your whole day!! Having a proper morning routine, will minimize your stress levels and maximize productivity. Here are few tips that will help you set up a great morning routine that will support your mental health.
-BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR WAKEUP TIME
While waking up early in the morning is obviously good for your mental health, building a reliable wakeup time is also significant. It will help to maintain body, its internal biological clock, thereby keeping your mind and body in idealize agreement with each other.
-DON’T EXPOSE YOURSELF TO BRIGHT LIGHT
Exposing yourself to bright light right after waking up has negative effects on your brain. It will shock your brain, making you are feeling dizzy or muddled, which is able to mess up your mood and energy. The best idea is to steadily expose your eyes to light after waking up. Let them eyes rest a lil’, then introduce them to light, continuously transitioning from dull light to bright light.
-IGNORE YOUR PHONE!!
Trust me, the worst way to start your morning is to check your mobile first thing after waking up! It will trap you in a viscous cycle of social media looking over, killing all your potential efficiency. Instead, start your day with something soothing like a hot shower, a cup of creamy coffee, a brief running session; anything that stimulates you to induce moving.
-HAVE WHOLESOME BREAKFAST
For me, the best part of my morning routine is without a doubt, THE BREAKFAST! I continuously try to incorporate my favorite things in my breakfast, sometimes smoothies, fresh juices, sometimes pancakes and sometimes eggs! Distinct variations on diverse days that I wholeheartedly enjoy! If your breakfast is satisfying, healthy and filling, then you’re almost guaranteed to have a wonderful day. Make sure to add some protein to your breakfast, as it’s a incredible way of naturally boosting energy levels.
-PLAN THE DAY AHEAD!
Morning is the best time to make the most important decisions of your life. And for a wise person, each day is an important day. Therefore, planning your entire day in the morning will give you a sense of organization and fulfillment. You will be freed from the unnecessary stress that might hit you over the course of the day in the event that you arrange it already. This will improve your mental health in a significant way.
"5 Ways to Light up your Mood"
Here are 5 easy tips to boost up your mood on a gloomy day:
1. EAT THE SADNESS AWAY!
There’s nothing better than food to improve your mood. If you’re feeling low and you don’t know the reason, do one thing: Gather your favorite snacks and munch ’em up! I kid you not, you’ll start feeling better instantly! Your favoring food won’t just go into your mouth, it’ll go straight to your heart!
2. Take A Nap!
This might sound stupid but yeah, taking a nap actually works if you’re going through a bad day! The logic is simple. Sometimes, your brain gets so immersed in negative thoughts that it needs time to cool down! The same way that a heated-up appliance needs time to cool down. Taking a nap (at least 30 mins) will rejuvenate your mental and physical energies and you’ll wake up feeling energized and positive!
3. Connect With Nature!
Trust me on this, nature almost works like medicine for mood when you really connect with it. Nature is magnificent, and it has an innate ability to heal and transform your mood. All you need to do is learn how to incorporate the magical forces of nature into your routine. One great way of doing this is learning the art of meditation. Or you can simply take a walk in the park, contemplating the mighty sky while the sunshine casts its rays upon you and you inhale every bit of peace that the universe has to offer. Sounds soothing, no?
4. Listen To Music!
Ever listened to a sad song randomly and you started feeling low and depressed? This is the power of soundwaves! And you can use this power in a rewarding way. In fact, research has proved that music can be used as a therapy to reduce anxiety and depression, and it can instantly improve mood. Listening to soft music will effortlessly uplift your mood and enhance your overall energy levels, so it’s an easy tip to manage your mood on a bad day.
5. BE KIND!
Little acts of kindness go a long way. When you help someone, no matter in how small capacity, it always returns back to you. Being kind is an illuminating and liberating act, and it has immense positive effects on a person’s mood and energy. It uplifts a person’s self esteem, thereby creating harmony between his heart and soul. When you’ll be kind to others, the universe will be kind to you and pay you back by elevating your mood.
